Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a dynamic and innovative company? At Boschman Technologies, we're looking for a motivated and skilled Purchaser to join our team in Singapore. What You'll Do: As a Purchaser at Boschman Technologies, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our production and operational needs are met efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Placing purchase orders: You'll collaborate with vendors to secure the goods, materials, and commodities we need to keep our operations running smoothly.
- Creating Production Orders in SAP: You'll be the go-to expert in managing and updating SAP for all our purchasing needs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams: You'll work closely with engineering, admin, warehouse, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Driving cost efficiency: You'll manage project costing and strive for cost savings, ensuring we get the best value without compromising on quality.
- Monitoring inventory: You'll keep a keen eye on inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of ordered parts.
- Supplier management: You'll evaluate, monitor, and report on supplier performance, always aiming for the best possible outcomes.
- Handling rejected parts/services: You'll coordinate any issues with rejected parts or services, ensuring resolutions are swift and effective.
- Performing other ad-hoc duties: Your role will be varied and dynamic, with opportunities to contribute to different aspects of the business.
Job requirements
What We're Looking For: We're seeking a Purchaser with a strong blend of technical and business acumen. To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, ideally as a technical buyer.
- Proven expertise in operating within a high-tech environment, with experience in an engineering-to-order organization.
- Strong negotiation skills and a knack for securing the best deals.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook. SAP B1 experience is a big plus!
- A structured, punctual, and self-disciplined approach to your work.
- The ability to work independently and maintain composure under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A collaborative spirit and a strong team player mindset.
Who You'll Report To: You'll report directly to our Purchasing Manager, working closely with them to drive our procurement strategies forward.
